As an eco-tour guide from Tena, I am deeply troubled by Ecuador's decision to continue oil drilling in Yasuní National Park. This area is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, home to countless species and indigenous communities. Allowing oil extraction here is a direct assault on our natural heritage and the rights of these communities. The government's claims of minimal environmental impact are misleading. History has shown that oil operations lead to deforestation, pollution, and social disruption. We must prioritize sustainable development and protect our environment for future generations. It's time to say no to oil drilling in Yasuní.
