I recently read that Guatemala's coffee exports have grown significantly, entering new markets in 2026. According to Anacafé, the 2024-2025 harvest yielded 3.75 million quintales of coffee, generating over a billion dollars in revenue. This growth is attributed to favorable global market conditions, including challenges faced by major producers like Brazil and Vietnam, which have elevated coffee prices and benefited Guatemalan exports. As a coffee cooperative manager, this expansion is encouraging. It underscores the importance of maintaining high-quality production and exploring new markets to sustain our industry's growth. However, we must remain vigilant about global market fluctuations and continue to support our local producers to ensure long-term success.
