As an indigenous woman and leader of a weaving cooperative in El Alto, I am deeply concerned about the Bolivian government's ongoing neglect of our rights. Despite constitutional guarantees, our communities continue to face exploitation and marginalization. The 2011 TIPNIS protests highlighted our struggle against projects that threaten our lands and way of life. Yet, the government persists in prioritizing economic interests over our well-being. This disregard for indigenous rights is unacceptable. We demand genuine consultation and respect for our autonomy, as enshrined in the Constitution. It's time for the government to honor its commitments and protect the rights of all Bolivians, especially the indigenous peoples who have long been the backbone of this nation.
