I recently read about the East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) intensifying joint border surveillance and emergency response measures due to a surge in Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. As someone managing a safari lodge in Arusha, this development is concerning. The safety of our guests and staff is paramount, and the proximity of these outbreaks to our borders poses a significant risk. It's crucial that we stay informed and adhere to any guidelines issued by health authorities to prevent the spread of this deadly virus. I hope the coordinated efforts by ECSA-HC will effectively contain the situation and protect our communities.
