We rely on structural integrity and precise calculations in our field; seeing these tools repurposed to accelerate the design of destructive systems is a sobering reminder of the dual-use nature of advanced technology. Pragmatically, we need more than just internal corporate policies to safeguard these frameworks from state-aligned actors.
